4 years ago we launched The Chrysalis Program. We wanted to create a safe space for black girls. We wanted to strategically build their confidence and teach them life skills. Since, we have impacted the lives of hundreds of girls (and boys) through our interactive workshops, events and retreats.
This is the first time we have been unable to gather. When we gather we love on black girls (and some boys). We give them hugs, we affirm them, we teach them, we feed them, we celebrate them. This year has been hard on all of us. Children aren't excluded from that. The Chrysalis is launching an initiative to send every Chrysalis student (past, present and future) a personalized mental and emotional care package. This is include:
